Lunar sketch - Carpenter and Anaximander

This is Carpenter and Anixamander drawn with the Terminator running through them with a 79% waning gibbous moon.

My first attempt of sketching lunar craters at the EP and to be honest it wasn't as scary as I'd imagined.

The Met Office forecast heavy mid altitude cloud all day and night and just for a change they got it wrong! (sarcastic smiley needed there!). All afternoon we had blazing sun in the early 20's so after tea I set the scope up to cool down, walked the dog then sat down to make a start.
This was the point where I looked to the West and noticed...cloud coming my way!!!!

Because of the cloud I ended up rushing this sketch and as the cloud moved in I could see less and less detail. It took about 30 minutes in total to do in total although I could of done with another 30 minutes and better seeing.

White pastel, pastel pencil and black charcoal pencil on black paper.
